According to my countdown app, (yes, I am a nerd) we have only 75 days before we take off to China!!!! WHAT!!!??? How did that happen? We still have a lot of things to do. Randy and I sat down last Sunday and started creating a list of things that needs to be done before the big move. Here is just a sampling of our to do list:
1. fixing up the house for our renters
a. replacing a toilet
b. fixing the deck and railing in the back
c. yard work - fence, relocate fountain in front
d. paint one of the bedrooms
2. take care of car, house and medical insurance
3. contact credit cards
4. phone - all of it
And the list keeps on growing and GROWING!
Right now, we are in the middle of downsizing. Luckily we are able to keep some of the furniture in the house for our renters to use. (by the way, the renter is our son and his friends that we approve of) And we are able to use one of the rooms in the house as our storage unit. However, we have a lot of 'stuff' that needs to be sorted: Garage sale, keep in storage, take with us to China, Goodwill. As stated in the last post, we will be putting on a garage sale next week. That will help us with some of our items. However, my issue is what to take with us. There is so much that I want to take. Do I take the blender or is the nutri-bullet will be enough? How many coats should we take? Can I bring medication? Fortunately for us, there are teachers at the school that can help us with these dilemmas. They have been so helpful assisting us with these questions and so much more.
